Fri. - Weekend Outlook 29.05.10 - 30.05.10
PRESSURE SYNOPSIS
not a lot has changed pressure-wise, except a few minor changes…….. A fat Low of 1002 millibars will move in from the West hitting the South West on Saturday, before continuing on it’s Easterly track into Sunday (crossing the mainland UK and slowly occluding in North Eastern Europe on Sunday). Scotland will be dominated by a weak Icelandic High of 1016 millibars, which will dominate the area by Sunday, stopping anything from getting in there. Meanwhile in the South West Sunday will see a new Mid Atlantic Low of 982 millibars slowly start to take effect, as next week nears.
OVERALL
Well there is now more swell than before so, read your respective areas (and surrounding ones) to get the new details. There will be waves in the South West and quite a few, but the key will be the getting enough swell that is not too windy / onshore. Suffice to say if you see it clean ride it quickly!
BEGINNERS / IMPROVERS
Well now it’s a challenging weekend for you I’m afraid. Has your practicing kept you in trim, can you get out back and not get in the way?!
